50% Milestone: Polishing Movement and Level 2-3 Greybox


This week marks the 50% milestone for my project. In the past week I focused on fine-tuning the movement blue print, which included fixing the wall jump script. This involved streamlining the wall jump blueprint, removing variables that checked which way the player was facing as they were unnecessary for the Paper2D engine in Unreal. With these adjustments, the movement is working perfectly as intended. I also started greyboxing for Levels 2 and 3, and made a mock-up of the character sprite in Adobe Illustrator.



Now that the player character is functioning as intended, the next step is to begin creating/importing assets and implement enemies and a basic attack for the player. By the next milestone I am aiming to have the character sprite fully animated in the game, as well as have enemies placed in the level.
