Update: February 28, 2021


This week I began research into implementing a wall jump, wall side, and dash to the player's moveset. The wall jump will function similar to the wall jump in the Mega Man X series, allowing the player to cling to a wall and jump outward, and continue stringing wall jumps together infinitely up the wall. Likewise, the dash will propel the player character forward 3 in-game tiles instantly, with the ability to string the dash into an attack or jump. Although I've made some progress, the blueprints for these actions are still in an early state and therefore aren't in a fully working state yet. I will post an update once the full moveset is fully implemented and functional and then I will start on creating player character sprite animations.
